WHOIS Domain Privacy Service

All internet domains are registered with the organization ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), with records showing the name and contact information for the domain Registrant, Administrative Contact, and Technical Contact. These records are normally publicly available through ICANN's WHOIS search; however, for the benefit of our privacy-minded customers Sonic offers a WHOIS Privacy Service which obscures the name and contact information, keeping potentially personal information from being publicly available on the internet.

This service costs $0.25 cents per month, per domain, and can be activated through the Hosting section in our Member Tools. The domain contact information that will be displayed does not contain the name, address, phone number, nor email address of the domain owner. To send any mail to the administrative contact for this domain (e.g. you wish to purchase the domain from its current, anonymous owner), you must browse to http://contactprivacy.com/ and follow the instructions there. There is no legitimate email address to send to.
