Online Bill Pay
If you're hoping to pay your bill online, you're in luck! You can log into your Member Tools account with your Sonic username and password that was created at the time of sign-up. If you can't recall or are having difficulty recovering that information you will need to reach out to our Customer Support department for assistance.
Quick Facts
- Auto-pay is mandatory; it cannot be turned off. You must have a working payment method on file at all times to avoid payment failures or being locked for non-payment.
- If your account was locked for non-payment you will need to pay your bill for the internet to turn back on again. You can log in to Member Tools when your account has been locked for non-payment, however you will need to use an alternative service such as your cellular data or the local library to access the webpage while your account is locked.
- If your account was locked for non-payment and you have successfully paid your bill, your internet will turn back on within 15 minutes. If after 15 minutes you are not seeing your internet come back on, power cycle the modem and router for 60 seconds and allow an additional 5 minutes to reboot. If after that you're still having issues, please contact our Customer Support team.
- Updating your payment method does not automatically process a payment. If your account is past-due please you follow the steps listed below to ensure a payment is processed.
- If you'd like to learn more please read our Billing Policy article.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Navigate to Member Tools (members.sonic.net) and type in your username and password into the available text boxes. You do not need to add the @sonic.net qualifier to the end of your username. You can use the "forgot" option down at the bottom to try to recover either one.
2. Click the Log In button.
3. Select the Billing & Payments option from the left side menu.
4. Click on the large blue button for Make a Payment. Please note, if this button is not visible then you do not currently have an upcoming or outstanding invoice that requires payment.
4.5. If you have an upcoming invoice that is not yet due and you wish to make a payment ahead of your auto-pay schedule then you will see an additional pop-up. Click the blue Make a Payment Anyway to proceed. If you have an outstanding invoice past its due date then this pop-up will be bypassed and will take you directly to the payment tool.
5. There are three main items that will require your input on the Make A Payment tool.
Item #1 Total Due: Ensure you review the Total Due so there are no surprises on your next banking statement.
Item #2 Select Payment Method: You can choose to use the current payment method you have saved on file (either a credit card or ACH) or to manually add in a new payment method. Please note: Any payment method you add in manually will be saved to your account as the new method on file and will be used in the future for auto-payments.
Item #3 Make Payment button: when you have read the fine print and are ready to process the payment click on the green Make Payment button.
6. Wait for the green banner to pop up and confirm that your payment was processed. Congrats! You're done!
