All Sonic Fusion Voice service lines come with voicemail services at no additional cost and can be enabled and disabled in Member Tools at the Voice Menu by selecting the phone number you would like to edit. This same button can be used at any time to disable voicemail.
How can I access the phone-based voicemail system?
Use one of the following methods to reach your voicemail box, then enter your PIN when prompted:
- Dial *99 from your own number.
- Dial your own number, from your own number.
- Dial your own number from anywhere; when you hear the greeting press '*' to access the private menu.
How do I change my voicemail password (PIN)?
- In the main CommPortal window, select "View Account Settings" in the lower right.
- In the Account Settings, select "Change Voicemail PIN".
- Enter your new preferred PIN.
- Select "Confirm" to save your new PIN.
You can update your voicemail password in Member Tools Voice Options. Select the number you wish to edit then click settings followed by clicking 'change'. You can also change your PIN via the voicemail menu by logging in then selecting '4-3-1' and entering your new PIN.
Can I change how many times the phone rings before voicemail answers?
Yes, through Member Tools select Voice then select the phone number you would like to edit. This will bring you to Comm Portal where you will need to select [Open Call Manager] which is a small blue button on the right inside Comm Portal. Now you can modify how many seconds your phone rings before voicemail answers.
How can I record a new greeting?
Log in to the voicemail system and then press '3' to manage your greeting.
Can I record more than one greeting and then change between them?
Yes, after you login to voicemail select '3'. Within this option you will be able to configure a personal greeting, an extended absence greeting or a system generated greeting. You are then able to select which greeting you would like callers to hear.
My MWI (Message Waiting Indicator) or stutter dial tone is stuck on; can I turn it off somehow?
Yes, use the options '4-5-1' in the IVR tree to toggle the message waiting indicator for your phone.
